Research and Information Support (RIS)

RIS provides timely research and information support to Members of Parliament, parliamentary parties, and legislative bodies such as State Assemblies and Councils. Our support is designed around the rhythm of legislative business and the functional needs of elected representatives—helping them participate more effectively in debates, questions, committees, and policy deliberations.

RIS seeks to contribute to a well-informed Parliament. CLRA also supports MPs through constituency service assistance and structured internship support, enabling them to discharge their responsibilities more efficiently and effectively.

Legislative Advocacy

CLRA undertakes legislative advocacy in priority areas—especially across social, economic, and developmental sectors—where new legislation or policy action is needed, or where existing laws and regulations require reform. This work helps civil society organisations bring public concerns into legislative spaces and to policy and decision-makers.

It also supports both central and state governments by highlighting emerging priorities and practical reform needs. In partnership with legislators (MPs, MLAs, and others), CLRA helps initiate informed action groups and forums to drive constructive dialogue and outcomes.

Parliament Watch

Parliament is the people’s institution. Citizens have a right to know what their legislatures do—and how public issues are debated and decided. This calls for systematic monitoring, analysis, and public communication on legislative proceedings.

To support this, CLRA publishes Parliament Watch—a session-wise journal that reports on and reviews the work of the Houses, with a focus on social and developmental sectors. Parliament Watch offers the public a clear account of parliamentary activity and highlights how representatives pursue issues relevant to constituencies, civil society groups, and the wider public.

Legislative Research

CLRA undertakes legislative research to identify solutions to challenges in legislative functioning, with a particular focus on Parliament as an institution of governance. This work aims to strengthen institutional practices and procedures, and to advance system-level reforms that enable legislatures to perform their roles more effectively and competently.

Our research covers a wide range of themes, including the legislative system, comparative legislatures, legislative behaviour, and the evolving norms and practices that shape parliamentary performance.

Public Affairs for Seamless Growth Stories

We provide policy and public affairs support to both corporate and development sectors through a convergent approach that connects legislative engagement, government relations, and media outreach. Our work helps shape policies and practices, while enabling constructive collaboration between government and business to build a fair, predictable, and level playing field.

CLRA helps clients navigate complex policy, legislative, legal, and regulatory environments. We design need-based advocacy and campaign strategies that engage a wide range of stakeholders—key government officials, regulators, influential legislators, and political leadership—so that growth journeys remain credible, compliant, and resilient.
